Supporting people when they need it most — every single day.
Centre 507 is a community support centre at 507 Bank St. in Ottawa. The Centre is a safe and welcoming space open 22 hours a day, every day of the year. We are committed to welcoming people with dignity, compassion, and practical support.
Centre 507 serves hundreds of people every day. We offer meals, harm-reduction support, and services like haircuts and access to clothing and hygiene supplies.
We engage directly with people where they are, including on the streets. We also collaborate with local partners to respond to public and community safety concerns in Centretown.
See Our ProgramsWe always keep the voices and needs of the people we serve at the forefront.
We welcome everyone, regardless of background and offer non-judgemental space.
We work hand-in-hand with community partners and one another.
We respond quickly to emerging needs and challenges.
We act with integrity and transparency in all we do.
We bring people together, some of whom might otherwise be isolated. It often starts with a great bowl of soup and a conversation with someone at the same table.
Over time, they get to know more people, feel a friendly positive vibe, and see the partners who offer support in health, housing, and job skills. They see others clearing tables and helping unload donations. So they pitch in too.
And the sense of belonging grows stronger every day.
Members help clear tables, carry groceries, sweep up, and run social events. Giving back is central to who we are.
