Supporting people when they need it most — every single day.
Centre 507 is a community support centre at 507 Bank St. in Ottawa. The Centre is a safe and welcoming space open 22 hours a day, every day of the year. We are committed to welcoming people with dignity, compassion, and practical support.
Centre 507 serves hundreds of people every day. We offer meals, harm-reduction support, and services like haircuts and access to clothing and hygiene supplies.
We engage directly with people where they are, including on the streets. We also collaborate with local partners to respond to public and community safety concerns in Centretown.
See Our ProgramsEvery person who walks through our doors is welcomed with respect. We believe in the inherent worth of every individual, regardless of their circumstances.
We lead with empathy and understanding. Our team meets people where they are — emotionally, physically, and practically.
We believe everyone belongs. From a bowl of soup to a conversation, we build the connections that transform isolation into belonging.
We bring people together, some of whom might otherwise be isolated. It often starts with a great bowl of soup and a conversation with someone at the same table.
Over time, they get to know more people, feel a friendly positive vibe, and see the partners who offer support in health, housing, and job skills. They see others clearing tables and helping unload donations. So they pitch in too.
And the sense of belonging grows stronger every day.
Members help clear tables, carry groceries, sweep up, and run social events. Giving back is central to who we are.
